Jesus Started It and You Can’t Stop It
The Best Is Yet To Come
Phil 1:6 ; Acts 5:14-23
Look at your neighbor and tell them “God Has a Word For You!”
We serve a God that is progressive. Moving forward in a direction toward a future destiny. Progressive = proceeding step by step: growing, developing (thriving, flourishing, prospering), accelerating (gain momentum); increasing in extent (the degree to which something has spread).
When God called Abraham in Genesis 12, he told him I going to make your name great. I’m going to bless you, I’m going to make you a great nation. Man! what promises. I’m sure Abraham had difficulty figuring out how to internalize this info. Here’s Abraham, this ordinary guy, called out by God and given all of these promises. But God was true to his word. He just followed God and God did the rest.
When God sets out to do something it is not predicated upon those that don’t believe but only rest on those that do believe. Paul says in Romans 3:3 “what if some don’t believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid:”
You will always have those that are haters, who try to express to you that it doesn’t take all that. You don’t have to do this or not. You don’t have to go to church, you don’t have to read your bible that much. You can live like the world and God still loves you. That’s find but we have chosen to follow God as dear children. We’ve decided to give Jesus complete access to our lives. Most importantly we recognize that we’re on a mission, that we are a part of a great move of God. As God is moving, we want to be right in the mix.
The momentum of the Kingdom of God is building. It’s thriving, flourishing and prospering. I don’t want to miss God’s power being activated in my life. Jesus said to remind you of Matthew 5:6 “blessed are they which hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
Fill me up Jesus!
